Acceptable Use Policy

Preamble & General Principles

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of all services provided by SkyNodes ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). This policy applies to all customers using web hosting, game hosting, VPS, VDS, dedicated servers, dedicated IPs, network services, and colocation services.

Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination without refund.

1. General Principles

You agree to use SkyNodes services:

Lawfully and ethically
Responsibly across all workloads
Without harming infrastructure, network stability, or other users
In full compliance with our Terms of Service

You are fully responsible for all content and activities occurring under your account and provisioned infrastructure.

2. Prohibited Content (All Services)

Strictly Prohibited Material

The following content and operations are strictly prohibited across all SkyNodes hosting services:

Malware, ransomware, spyware, trojans
Phishing pages or fake login portals
Carding operations or financial fraud tools
Copyright-infringing material
Pirated software, cracked scripts, warez
Terror-related or extremist content
Child exploitation material (reported immediately to authorities)
Deepfake scam content
Identity theft tools
Illegal gambling operations (where prohibited by law)

3. Web Hosting Abuse

Shared & Reseller Hosting Guidelines

For shared and reseller web hosting, you may NOT:

Host large file storage platforms unrelated to websites
Run crypto mining scripts
Use hosting for public download mirrors
Operate torrent trackers or seedboxes
Run automated bots causing high CPU load
Abuse PHP mail functions
Send bulk unsolicited emails
Notice: Excessive CPU, RAM, or disk I/O usage may result in automatic throttling or immediate suspension to safeguard server neighbors.

4. Game Hosting Abuse

Minecraft & Game Server Regulations

For game servers (e.g., Minecraft and others), you may NOT:

Use crash clients or exploit tools
Run DDoS tools from game servers
Host modified servers that distribute pirated assets
Overload node resources intentionally
Coordinate attacks against other servers

Mass alt-account farming and bot-based abuse across public networks are strictly prohibited.

5. VPS / VDS Hosting Abuse

Root & Administrative Access Responsibilities

Customer Responsibilities

With root or administrative access, you are fully responsible for:

Server security
Firewall configuration
System updates
Installed software

Prohibited VPS / VDS Usage

You may NOT use VPS/VDS for:

Botnets
DDoS-for-hire services
Spam relays
Crypto mining farms (unless explicitly allowed)
Proxy networks for abuse
Brute-force attack tools
Mass scanning external networks

Misconfigured servers affecting host node or network stability may be suspended immediately without prior notice.

6. Dedicated Server Policy

Bare-Metal Hardware Regulations

Dedicated servers must not be used for:

High-volume spam operations
Network flooding
Unauthorized penetration testing
Hosting illegal marketplaces
Blackhat SEO networks
IP reputation abuse
Customers are responsible for securing dedicated hardware against external vulnerabilities.Repeated abuse may result in immediate termination.

7. Dedicated IP Usage Policy

IPv4 & IPv6 Address Allocation

Dedicated IPs must NOT be used for:

Email spam campaigns
Blackhat SEO
Botnets
Open proxies
Public VPN abuse
Reputation manipulation

IPs remain the property of SkyNodes or upstream infrastructure providers.

IP reputation damage may result in IP revocation without refund.

8. Network Abuse & Security

Infrastructure Integrity Protections

Strictly prohibited activities:

DDoS attacks
Running stressers or booters
Port scanning external networks
BGP hijacking attempts
Packet sniffing without authorization
ARP spoofing
Exploiting network vulnerabilities

We actively monitor network traffic and netflows for abuse prevention and automated anomaly mitigation.

9. Colocation Policy

Data Center Facility Regulations

For colocation customers, you must NOT:

Install illegal hardware
Connect unauthorized networking equipment
Tamper with shared infrastructure
Bypass data center security procedures
Interfere with cooling or power systems

Physical access to data center suites is strictly audited, escorted, and controlled.

All colocated equipment must strictly comply with tier-grade data center electrical and fire regulations.

10. Resource Abuse & Fair Usage

Shared Resource Protection Policy

Enforced Fair Usage Triggers:

  • Excessive CPU usage
  • Constant 100% load
  • Continuous high I/O operations
  • Network saturation

May Result In:

  • Automatic resource throttling
  • Temporary service suspension
  • Permanent account termination

11. Abuse Complaints

Response Time & Escalation

24-Hour SLA

Abuse notices sent to your registered contact must be fully addressed within 24 hours.

Non-Response Action

Failure to respond within the deadline may result in automated suspension.

Repeat Violations

Repeat or willful violations will lead to permanent account and service termination.

Investigation Fees

Administrative investigation fees may apply for severe, malicious, or legal cases.

12. Email & Spam Policy

Zero Tolerance for Spam

Strictly prohibited email practices:

Sending unsolicited bulk emails (UCE/UBE)
Utilizing purchased or scraped email lists
Email header spoofing or forging sender identity
Open SMTP relay abuse or unsecured mail daemons

IP blacklisting on major RBLs/DNSBLs due to outbound spam will result in immediate and permanent service removal.

13. Security Violations

Critical Emergency Measures

We may immediately suspend services for:

Active malware detection on the filesystem
Confirmed network or server compromise
Zero-day exploit distribution or testing
Large-scale outbound scanning activity

No prior notice may be provided in critical security incidents where overall network stability is jeopardized.

14. Zero Tolerance Violations

Immediate Permanent Termination

Immediate termination without refund, without exception, for:
Child exploitation content (CSAM)
Terror-related or extremist content
Active fraud or financial theft operations
Large-scale network attacks
Staff harassment or abusive behavior towards employees

15. Enforcement Rights

Administrative Remedies

SkyNodes reserves the right to:

Suspend services without prior notice
Remove harmful or infringing content
Restrict or throttle port bandwidth
Revoke allocated IP addresses
Terminate accounts permanently without refund
Report illegal activity to law enforcement authorities

We cooperate fully and transparently with legitimate domestic and international law enforcement agencies.

16. Customer Responsibility

Proactive Security & Management

You are strictly responsible for:

Securing your services and root passwords
Monitoring your applications and services
Preventing abuse originating from your users
Keeping your software, OS, and kernels updated
Maintaining independent off-site backups
Liability Disclaimer: SkyNodes is not responsible for abuse, security breaches, data loss, or downtime originating from your misconfigured or compromised systems.

17. Policy Updates

Amendments & Acceptance

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Continued use of SkyNodes services constitutes full acceptance of the revised policy.
